Accessibility statement

The standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on every page.

What we built in

• Every page has one main heading, landmarks, and a link at the top that skips to the content.
• Everything works with a keyboard alone, including the size grid, the cart and the 3D shoe, which turns with the left and right arrow keys or the buttons beside it.
• The shoe is also a still image with a written description, and the five beats of the story are plain text you can read without scrolling the 3D scene.
• Text has at least 4.5 to 1 contrast against its background. Most body text is above 7 to 1.
• Form fields have visible labels, and errors say what happened and how to fix it. Results are announced to screen readers.
• The page reflows to a 360 pixel wide screen without sideways scrolling, and works at 200 percent zoom.
• Animation is off when your device asks for reduced motion. The button at the bottom of every page turns animation off or on, including the moving strips and the turning shoe.

How we checked

Automated checks with axe run on every page in our test suite, together with tests for keyboard use, sideways overflow at 360 pixels and page titles. We also walked through the reservation flow with the keyboard alone. We have not yet had the site audited by an outside specialist.

Known limits

• The 3D view needs WebGL. Without it you see the still images instead.
• The lookbook photographs have short descriptions, not full transcripts of every detail in the frame.
• The countdown shows the time in your own time zone, which may differ from ours.
